Food Bank Program - The Food Bank program both collects and buys food that can be used for the animals of LCAS when the shelter needs additional nutritional needs.

Medical Assistance Program - The Medical Assistance program raises money and works with local veterinarians to provide needed medical assistance to shelter animals of LCAS that are not provided by the shelter. Due to the limited resources of the LCAS, care for the shelter animals in limited to medication only. In the event that an animal requires more care than medication, i.e. surgery, the animal is typically euthanized if not claimed by its owner.

Transportation Services - The Transportation Services program provides assistance to LCAS in the transportation of animals to and from LCAS and other shelters in the state. It also tries help with fuel costs for those who volunteer to transport animals.

Shelter Services - The Shelter Services program provides LCAS with help in maintaining and improving the shelter facility. FOLCAS looks to lend a hand in keeping the shelter clean with volunteers and supplies.

Animal Socialization Program - The Animal Socialization program is designed to reduce the stress and improve the disposition of the animals of the LCAS. The program includes walking the animals, spending time and teaching them basic commands.

Community Education Program - The Community Education Programs work to educate Lewis County residents in responsible pet ownership. F.O.L.C.A.S works with low cost spay and neuter programs and will provide low cost vaccination clinics. Call for information on current programs.
